Welcome to ChatMeOut. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing ChatMeOut, registering for an account, or using our chat functionalities as a guest, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be between 18 and 60 years of age to use ChatMeOut and its matchmaking features. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement, are of legal age to form a binding contract with us, and meet all eligibility requirements.

3. User Conduct

While ChatMeOut is designed for anonymity and privacy, you agree not to use the platform to:

• Transmit or share any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory.
• Share explicit or non-consensual imagery.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Engage in any activities that could disrupt, damage, or impair the functionality of ChatMeOut's servers or networks.
• Distribute spam, malware, or any other form of malicious software.
• Abuse the Discover Feed or public profile features by submitting misleading, sexually explicit, abusive, or commercial content in your bio, interests, or avatar.
• Spam or abuse the Global Chat (#all) channel or the WhisperPlanes broadcasting system. Because these features broadcast to a wide audience, any content deemed abusive, overly repetitive, or highly inappropriate may result in immediate suspension of access to public features.
• Use interactive features, such as our Games Hub (Truth or Dare, Tic-Tac-Toe), to harass, solicit illegal acts, or violate any of the aforementioned rules.

4. Account Registration, Security, and Email Communications

You may choose to use ChatMeOut as an ephemeral Guest or register for a permanent account. If you register, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and active login sessions. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. You can inspect and revoke active device sessions at any time via Account Settings.

Email Communications: By registering with an email address, you consent to receive essential service and security notifications (account verification codes, password resets, and security alerts when credentials change). Registered users may also receive periodic platform activity updates ("Welcome Back" notifications). You may opt out of promotional or activity update emails at any time via Account Settings → Notification Preferences or by clicking the one-click unsubscribe link provided in every re-engagement email.

5. Content Ownership and Ephemerality

You retain ownership of the messages and content you send on ChatMeOut. However, by design:

• Guest chat history is temporary and is automatically wiped from our systems when the chat ends. Guest accounts themselves are deleted after 8 days of inactivity.
• Deleting a chat or account permanently deletes the history from our systems for both participants.
• All shared images expire and are permanently purged after 10 minutes.
• Public notes broadcasted via WhisperPlanes, along with their replies, are automatically deleted after 7 days.
• ChatMeOut claims no ownership rights over your communication.

If you believe that any content hosted on ChatMeOut infringes your intellectual property, please review our DMCA Policy to submit a takedown notification.

6. Match Passes and Advertisements

To sustain the platform, ChatMeOut employs a rewarded advertisement model. Users must obtain a Match Pass by watching a short advertisement to initiate or continue anonymous matchmaking sessions. Match Passes grant exactly 10 minutes of active chat time per session and are strictly enforced for continued messaging.

7. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

ChatMeOut is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChatMeOut and its affiliates, officers, or agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from your use of the service.

User-Generated Content Disclaimer: ChatMeOut acts solely as a neutral conduit for anonymous communication. We do not monitor, endorse, or control the content, messages, or images shared between users. You acknowledge that you may be exposed to content that is offensive, indecent, or objectionable. ChatMeOut assumes no liability or responsibility for any user-generated content, and you agree to interact with others entirely at your own risk.
